Three Tips to Improve Your Monday Attitude

It’s another Monday morning. Is your morning full of dread and trepidation at another work week? Or are you full of energy and excitement at the week ahead?

Weekends are a welcome break to recharge and rest, usually with no alarm clock! They are your reward for the hard work you put in during the week at your job or in school. For me they are filled with errands and getting organized for the week ahead. Cooking, cleaning, planning, blogging, resting, and hopefully a little fun thrown in there. I like to spend a little time on Sunday preparing for my week – looking at my schedule, updating my to do lists, determining my priorities, and doing some meal prep if time allows. This allows me to go into my Monday morning mentally prepared for the week.

6 Tips to Simplify Your Life

Letting go of things that no longer bring you joy or satisfaction can in itself be joyful and satisfying!

It’s a new year full of new hope and new promise. Many of us start the new year with resolutions or diets or workout regimens, hoping to shed some holiday weight or gain some new perspective or success. I can’t remember the last time I had an entire trip that had “smooth sailing” when flying with our airlines. Flight delays due to weather or mechanical issues, crew changes, dumping fuel, refueling, scheduling and logistics issues all wreak havoc on your ability to get somewhere on time. Three times this past year I have been rerouted to another city because one of these things. And now I am preparing to head to Florida just days after Hurricane Michael is expected to make landfall with storms expected at home when I leave.

Airport travel is challenging enough between allotting enough time to get through security and arriving before your actual scheduled flight time. Add to that an illness, injury, a chronic condition, or fibromyalgia, and the challenges multiply. Will I be having a flare? Will my back or leg pain act up? So how does one manage travel delays and stressful times when you have a chronic condition?
