It’s another Monday morning. Is your morning full of dread and trepidation at another work week? Or are you full of energy and excitement at the week ahead?
Weekends are a welcome break to recharge and rest, usually with no alarm clock! They are your reward for the hard work you put in during the week at your job or in school. For me they are filled with errands and getting organized for the week ahead. Cooking, cleaning, planning, blogging, resting, and hopefully a little fun thrown in there. I like to spend a little time on Sunday preparing for my week – looking at my schedule, updating my to do lists, determining my priorities, and doing some meal prep if time allows. This allows me to go into my Monday morning mentally prepared for the week.
Here are some tips to change your attitude toward Monday so you don’t dread it.
- Weekends are great, but look for ways to start your week excited, like reviewing your schedule and making your “to do” list the night before.
- Mondays are a fresh start to the week, so set a tone to “look forward” and make the day count. Start with an attitude of accomplishment!
- You will never get that day back, so take charge of your day early. What are the priorities you need to tackle first?
- Shift the focus from what day it is to what your day holds for you! A positive attitude will brighten any day and help you move swiftly through your tasks.
Cheers!

š My husband bought my first 4 California raisins when we were dating, over 27 years ago! To this day they still randomly show up – I got several new ones the last few weeks for my anniversary and V-Day. ā¤ļø

Oh wow, that’s fabulous! I hadn’t seen any for probably 20 years, so I had to smile when I saw yours.

Love the raisins! I really like setting the ālooking forwardā attitude. I also like the Sunday prep tip. With chronic illness, your days tend to bleed into one another. Iām searching for ways to stop that. One, would defintitely be to plan my week. Timely suggestion! Thanks so much!
