Look deep down inside you for new thoughts and new strengths.

Are you an optimist or a pessimist? Glass half-full or glass half-empty? I, myself, have always tried to look at the bright side of things. I will admit, I have had my share of dark days in pain or grieving or worried about something, but all in all I choose to be optimistic.

“With a new day comes new strengths and new thoughts.”

Eleanor Roosevelt

You know those crazy made up holidays? Well August is Admit You’re Happy or Happiness Happens month, so try to focus on the good. Celebrate you! Be grateful for all of the positive things you have in your life.

We all face challenges and pain and loss. Rather than dwelling on the negative, look deep down inside you for new thoughts and new strengths. Dig deep down and find a ray of hope!

After all, you’ve survived 100% of your worst days up to now.

This too shall pass.

Cheers!

Monday rolls around each week and we are all thinking that our weekend just wasn’t quite long enough to rest, recuperate, or have some recreation. But we can choose to start the day off dreading the week ahead, or resolving to have a great day. Monday, after all, is the perfect day to correct mistakes from last week and plan how to be successful this week.

“Ok, it’s Monday, but who said Mondays have to suck? Be a rebel and have a great day anyway.”

~ Kimberly Jimenez

I choose to be a rebel today. I hope you do too!

Have a great day…week….until next time!

Cheers!

Mediocrity is the worst enemy of prosperity

Just a little (late) Monday motivation for you. Remember this week as you wake up each day, that you did not wake up to be mediocre. Try to maintain that positive attitude with you, and put forth your best effort to be awesome at whatever you do.

“Mediocrity is the worst enemy of prosperity.” – Henry Ford

Cheers!

Just a quick one for a Monday morning. Anyone else feel like the weekends just aren’t long enough? 🙋🏻‍♀️ My to-do list is overflowing lately and there just isn’t enough time to get it all done AND relax a bit on the weekends. Sigh….

Perhaps it’s the exhaustion and pain (fibro flare) that I am still suffering. But this describes my Monday mood…. More coffee, please. Extra shot.

Nonetheless, I hope you all have a wonderful week! Do something wonderful for yourself!! Self-care is selfless, not selfish. (More on that later.) I am taking Friday off to knock off some things from that list. 😉 But first, coffee.

Cheers!

Ob-la-di, ob-la-da! Life goes on.

After being a huge Beatles fan since I was quite young, I got to see Paul McCartney live for the first time a few nights ago. Before the concert even started, my Facebook status read: “Ob-la-di, ob-la-da, life goes on. Brah! La-la, how the life goes on.” This was in part a nod to the recent passing of my father, as well as my excitement for the show. Little did I know that Sir Paul would later be leading the crowd in a sing-along to that very song! 🙂 ❤

“Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today.”

While dreams and wishes and our imagination are great things to motivate and invigorate, they won’t sustain us. Nor will they come true if we don’t act. And every moment counts.

What is the tomorrow of your dreams?

Do you often tell yourself “Tomorrow I will…”?

  • Start a diet
  • Start exercising
  • Get healthy
  • Go back to school
  • Go on a vacation
  • Learn something new
  • Start a new business

“Who you are tomorrow begins with what you do today!” ~ Tim Fargo
