Spring Fibro Update

And how I cope with fibromyalgia flares

I just left my doctor’s office for my annual physical and was given a clean bill of health. Well except for my fibromyalgia, that is. That ugly beast is still with me. My doctor rewarded me with not having to do blood work this time. No needless poking! I also received my last Prolia injection! In six months I will switch to a different medication for two years, and then should be done with medication for osteoporosis.

It’s a nice feeling to think you are doing something right with your health.

Letter Board No. 35

“Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.”

I have had this quote in my office for a few weeks now and just haven’t found the time/energy/motivation to write anything. After 100+ days of quarantine, one cancelled vacation, getting birthday wishes from my husband on the wrong day, and rediscovering hobbies that make me happy, I have definitely discovered that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful. Sometimes you just have to make your own happiness and joy.

Letter Board No. 34

“The moon only shines with the help of the sun.”

Hard to believe it’s been a month since we have been under “stay at home” orders here in Texas. I thankfully have been working the entire time, mostly at home. And no cleaning closets or planting flowers for me. The shorter commute seems to have translated into longer work days. Yikes!

But on the bright side, I am eating well, taking frequent walks, spending more time with my family cooking, baking, and doing puzzles. And I am not dealing with the stress of commuting!

I heard this song that I love while I was walking the other day. The lyrics inspired my board this week… Everyone needs help sometimes…even the moon!
