It’s no secret that I think smoothies are the perfect way to start your day off right. Done right, they are healthy and taste great. I believe that good nutrition is key to staving off the pain and fatigue of fibromyalgia, so I enjoy a smoothie almost daily for breakfast (and sometimes lunch).

Spring Fibro Update

And how I cope with fibromyalgia flares

I just left my doctor’s office for my annual physical and was given a clean bill of health. Well except for my fibromyalgia, that is. That ugly beast is still with me. My doctor rewarded me with not having to do blood work this time. No needless poking! I also received my last Prolia injection! In six months I will switch to a different medication for two years, and then should be done with medication for osteoporosis.

It’s a nice feeling to think you are doing something right with your health.

Letter Board No. 37

Every day is a fresh start…

Obviously this post is a little late, as we are now in the 3rd month of 2021! I have started so many posts the last few months, only to get pulled away into something else. I am juggling some extra duties at work these days, as well as helping care for my mom after moving her across the country to be near me. So writing, painting, and other hobbies that give my life a sense of normalcy have taken a back seat.

And then 2021 has been a bit of a kick in the teeth for those of us living in Texas. Plus getting the second shot of my COVID-19 vaccine has caused a fibro-flare and perpetual exhaustion.

Even changing out my letter board has gone from weekly to monthly, or whenever I can find a few spare minutes. But here’s one from the New Year I am finally getting around to sharing.
