Last semester when my daughter was having a rough time, I started texting her on Monday mornings a little motivational quote or picture, just to start her Monday off on the right foot. So in that vein, here’s a little Monday motivation for the week, for those going back to school, starting a new job or project, or those facing some other challenge.

Trust Yourself

We all have moments of self-doubt and fear. Learning to trust our instincts will help us conquer those fears. Just like the children’s story about the little engine that could, think you can, and you will! “Trusting yourself means living out what you already know to be true.”

Trust yourself

So put those fears aside and go with your gut instinct. Sometimes we all need a little kick in the pants to recognize what we already know to be true. Believe in yourself and you can be living the life of your dreams.

7 Tips to Build New Habits

Habit building is a journey; it doesn’t happen over night.

It has been said that “Motivation is what gets you started, and Habit is what keeps you going.” So I wanted to do a quick check-in after my 30 Day Challenge back in April, to let you know that my habits are still going strong. The challenge was a personal development series to re-establish some habits of mine that had slipped. My personal journey was successful, as 60 days later:

  • I am still writing in my daily gratitude journal
  • I am still practicing yoga daily
  • I am still logging my food daily
  • I am sleeping better
