Love Yourself

Lately I haven’t been loving myself enough. I have been running on empty, with “no spoons” left to give. No energy to blog, no creativity left to give, and dealing with my messy life.

So taking a few days to enjoy a getaway with my family last week was definitely the self-care, self-preservation, and refueling I needed. Being outdoors is my happy place, as I believe it is holistically therapeutic to be outside.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

This vacation was long overdue. And while I can’t walk on the beach every day, many of these things I can incorporate into my life on a regular basis to refuel my soul.

10 Ways I Refueled My Soul This Week:

  • Reconnecting with my husband and daughter and laughing a lot
  • Sleeping in
  • Reading
  • Practicing beach yoga
  • Wiggling my toes in the sand to ground with the earth
  • Walking on the beach – hunting for seashells at day and sea turtles at night; watching the sunrise and sunset and stars at night
  • Eating out (i.e. not cooking)
  • Feeding the turtles at our resort
  • Sightseeing
  • Horseback riding

This trip was truly about having no plans and relaxing. Despite the fact that travel is often difficult with a chronic condition and we had two cancelled flights, one delayed flight, and were rerouted to a completely different city, I handled it in stride. I returned relaxed and refueled.

Getting away from your everyday stressors and environment, and relaxing with no set schedule can really do wonders for one’s soul. I am hoping to be re-energized to start blogging with more purpose again, but for now, I am loving myself so everything else can fall in line.

I hope you all have a beautiful day and are able to find some easy ways to refuel your soul, leave your stresses behind, and ❤ yourself.

Cheers!Cynthia3
