Letter Board No. 25

Making small, incremental changes can have a profound and lasting effect on your life.

What one thing can you be thankful for today? More than one? Bonus! This year has been a struggle for me to be thankful or grateful for much. Grief and pain can do that to a person. But I can always find at least one thing every day to make me smile.

“There is always something to be thankful for.”

It was the Labor Day holiday today, so I got to spend three days at home this weekend getting organized, sleeping in, baking homemade donuts for my son – and a healthy version for me, starting my fall decorations, and getting a massage. So I have much to be thankful for!

And best of all, I had a low pain weekend!! September is Pain Awareness Month, and there millions of people like me living with chronic pain. So is it difficult sometimes to feel grateful? Yes. But I shouldn’t let that stop me. Nor should you. 🙂

Had a three day weekend!✓

Woke up today.✓

Got out of bed.✓

Had a healthy donut with my coffee.✓

Did yoga.✓

Had a massage.✓

See, you can find even the littlest things to be grateful for!

Do you cultivate an Attitude of Gratitude? What are you thankful for today? I’d love for you to drop me a comment.

Cheers!

Cynthia

  1. A very happy (and very belated) Labor Day weekend, yours sounds lovely and it’s great to hear it was lower pain, too! That’s a big reason for gratitude when dealing with chronic pain, any respite with a little lessening is a blessing  ♥
