I spotted this saying painted in an elementary school library and thought, What a great way to encourage our children. It’s amazing how many nuggets of wisdom can be found in those Dr. Seuss books we all loved as kids.

Today is my one year Blogiversary! It’s also World Kindness Day. So in the spirit of Kindness Day, I wanted to share a story I read from On the Road with Steve Hartman about Chris Rosati who was suffering from ALS. Have you heard of the butterfly effect? It’s this idea that “a single butterfly flapping its wings on one side of the globe can, in theory, start a hurricane on the other.” So Chris applied this theory to kindness and children, thinking it only takes a single act of kindness to start a chain reaction. So if you want a little more inspiration to start your own chain reaction or spread a little kindness in the world, go read the story of Chris Rosati and his butterfly effect. It will make your day.
