I spotted this quote on Keepinspiring.me and it resonated with me. Nowadays it seems people want quick fixes and instant gratification. Sometimes letting things grow and develop slowly yields better results. Roots grow deep and build a stronger foundation.
“There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.”– Josiah Gilbert Holland
I keep these little placards from LaraCasey.com on my desk at home and work as gentle reminders, and I change the saying for how I am feeling or being challenged with that day. I can only do “one thing at a time,” especially if I want to do it well.

So the next time you are starting a new project or going after something you want that may take some effort, remember “that which grows slowly endures.” Planning it out to do things one at a time, in succession, will yield you better chances of achieving that goal.
Cheers!
Cynthia
