Wellness Wednesday: Breathe

Take a deep breath and exhale those negative thoughts.

Just a little #WellnessWednesday reminder that sometimes you just need to breathe. Take a deep breath in, and then let it go slowly, exhaling all of those negative thoughts and negative energy.

I typically practice my deep breathing while I am doing yoga first thing in the morning, and it helps set the tone for the day. But it can be done easily anytime throughout the day:

  • At home or work
  • Driving (or sitting) in traffic
  • At the doctor’s office
  • Before bed

There are many benefits to deep breathing, including:

  • Natural pain reliever
  • Improves blood flow and energy level
  • Detoxifies the body
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Relaxes your mind and body

Who couldn’t use a little less stress and a little more relaxation in their day?

I hope you can find a few minutes to practice some deep breathing to help you let go of the stress, and enjoy a little peace in your day.
