Most of us are not necessarily wired to do that one big great thing in our lives. But we can achieve success by doing small things greatly.

I try to approach everything this way, by giving 100% effort. If I am going to do something, I want to do it right. Having lived with fibromyalgia and chronic pain for 19 years now, there are many days when I find it challenging to give that 100% to anything, let alone multiple things. I must choose to focus my efforts on one thing at a time, and do that one thing well.
As I wrote about last month, I needed to take a break from blogging. It takes a lot of time, energy, and effort to research, write, edit, and just create in general. This is a creative outlet that I enjoy, but I find that it takes too much of my free time away from my family.
It’s only been 5 months since my father passed. Last year our holidays didn’t amount to much as it became apparent then that both of my parents were both very ill and life as we knew it was about to change. This has been, without a doubt, the toughest year of my life. This Thanksgiving week would have been my parents’ 65th wedding anniversary, and we are all missing my father very much. I need to spend some extra time making the holidays a family affair this year. So for now, writing is not my priority. Taking care of myself and my family is.
I hope all of you can achieve some greatness in your day today, be it at work, home, or just with your personal goals. ❤
Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.
Cheers!
Cynthia
I love the letterboard and totally agree – plus, those little things can add up and I think they’re often far bigger than we first anticipate and far more meaningful, too. I’m truly so sorry for you and your family, I can only imagine how difficult this year has been and continues to be. I feel awful with there being nothing I can do or say but please know I’m thinking of you. Sending lots of love ♥
