It’s All Fools Day, otherwise known as April Fool’s Day in the U.S. And while we all may be foolish or lapse in judgement at times, we shouldn’t let that close us off possibilities.

So don’t be afraid to try something new because of the fear of failure or looking foolish. Put yourself out there, and maybe you’ll be happy you did.

Letter Board No. 11

Slowing down really is an art these days.

Spring time is my favorite season as everything starts blooming and birds are singing. I enjoy stepping outside to see all of the buds on my perennials, and just anticipate the colorful flowers that will soon emerge.

It’s a shame we can’t all take a lesson from nature, and not rush everything. I have tried to be better about this as the years go by. I used to think having a fibro-flare was my body’s way of telling me it was time to slow down and rest.

Letter Board No. 9

Breaking negative thinking isn’t easy. But it’s not impossible.

It’s “March Madness” but that doesn’t mean we all need to live the part. Viktor Frankl said, “Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.” Those stimuli are all around us in our daily lives – and can result in physical pain or emotional trauma.

Pain is inevitable. We have the power to choose our response.
