Letter Board No. 40

It’s not sweater weather yet, here in Texas.

While the calendar may say September and Starbucks (and everyone else) may have rolled out the pumpkin spice #PSL everything, here in Texas it still feels like summer. I did pull a few fall decorations out today, but it’s definitely not sweater weather here. More like just Sweat weather, or Sweatember!

I’ve been fairly absent lately from blogging. I blame it on a new health challenge I have been dealing with the last few months, coupled with a busy few months with multiple projects I am working on and/or managing at work. Plus taking care of my mom. By the time I get home during the week, I am ready for a nap!

I did manage to finally take my first vacation in over three years, with a few days at a lake resort and a few days just at home. Of course coming back to my inbox last week was brutal, so I am enjoying this extra day off for Labor Day today, trying to recover.

Please enjoy a few pictures from my too short vacation, where I managed to brave the heat and manage my pain for some hiking and kayaking, along with some relaxation by the pool.

Great book. Easy read. I highly recommend it.
Enjoying nature and finding inspiration everywhere, including by the pool
The main lodge viewed from our hike to the point
Waterfalls all over the grounds created such a zen-like atmosphere

I am working on a “summer fibro update” to go more into what’s new with me and something for #PainAwarenessMonth so look for those soon-ish.

Meanwhile, I will be enjoying the sunshine and warmth while I can, even if I have to sweat a little. 🙂

Cheers!

Cynthia
