What one thing can you be thankful for today? More than one? Bonus! This year has been a struggle for me to be thankful or grateful for much. Grief and pain can do that to a person. But I can always find at least one thing every day to make me smile.

It was the Labor Day holiday today, so I got to spend three days at home this weekend getting organized, sleeping in, baking homemade donuts for my son – and a healthy version for me, starting my fall decorations, and getting a massage. So I have much to be thankful for!
And best of all, I had a low pain weekend!! September is Pain Awareness Month, and there millions of people like me living with chronic pain. So is it difficult sometimes to feel grateful? Yes. But I shouldn’t let that stop me. Nor should you. 🙂

Woke up today.✓
Got out of bed.✓
Had a healthy donut with my coffee.✓
Had a massage.✓
